Pablo Antonio "Tito" Roman

Pablo Antonio Roman, passed away peacefully on Saturday April 8, 2017, at the age of 97 in Jupiter, Florida. He was born in Lares, Puerto Rico on February 13, 1920. Pablo is survived by his loving wife, Delia Betancourt Roman, of almost 70 years. He was preceded in death by his son, Paul Roman (Kris) and his grandson, Alex Roman. He was fondly known as "Tito" to friends, and as "Papi, Pop, Grandpa, Gpa and Grand Poopa" by his loving family. Pablo is also survived by his daughter, Magda Berrios (Michael); son, Angel Roman (Elizabeth); daughter, Carmen Taylor (Graham); and son, Edgar Roman (Carmen), as well as 8 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren and their families. Pablo proudly served as Staff Sergeant in the United States Army during World War II and was involved as a member of the Knights of Columbus for many years. He and his wife lived for over 50 years in New York. The family was raised in Brooklyn and they also enjoyed living in Queens Village, NY for many years. Pablo owned a shipping business for over 25 years, then retiring and eventually relocating to Coral Springs in South Florida in 1998 and living in Jupiter, Florida the past 7 years. Carpentry and gardening were his passions, as well as his love to party and dance. Pablo was the heart and soul of a large and happy family. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends and will live on in their hearts, minds and memories. A celebration of his life will be held at Taylor & Modeen Funeral Home located at 250 Center Street in Jupiter, Florida on Monday, April 17, 2017. Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 pm. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 am Tuesday, April 18, 2017 St. Peter's Catholic Church, 1701 Indian Creek Parkway, Jupiter, FL. Interment will follow in Our Lady Queen of Peace Cemetery, 10941 Southern Blvd. , Royal Palm Beach, FL.
