Dave John Gandolfo

Dave Gandolfo passed away peacefully on April 10, 2017. Dave was born in San Francisco on February 18, 1926. He spent his formative years in San Francisco, where he and his sister Blanche, were raised by their Aunt Kate Nunziati. Dave joined the US Navy in 1944 and was stationed in Kansas, but never deployed. After the war, Dave returned to San Francisco and worked many years in the produce business. In 1949, he met the love of his life, Mary Di Piero. Dave and Mary married in 1950, built a house in South San Francisco, started their family and eventually moved to San Mateo where they lived for many years. Dave was known and loved by many for his generosity, his sarcastic humor and his skill on the dance floor. Dave was predeceased by his wife Mary Di Piero Gandolfo and his sister Blanche Gandolfo Simons. He is survived by his sons Steve (Andrea) and Gary (Gloria) and his four grandchildren, Christina, Vincent, Grace and Raquel. Funeral Service will be held at 10:30am on Friday, April 14, 2017 at Sneider & Sullivan & O'Connell's Funeral Home, 977 S. El Camino Real, San Mateo, CA. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery in Colma, CA. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests you place a bet at the Black Jack table in honor of Dave.
