Doris C. Auger

Doris C. Auger passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 30, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. She was 86. Born in New York, NY, she was a resident of Ridgewood, NJ for 85 years. Doris held numerous bookkeeping positions throughout her life but most important was taking care of her home and family. She was a longtime member of Christ Episcopal Church in Ridgewood, NJ where she was an active volunteer. Doris graduated from Ridgewood High School in 1948 and remained active with the reunion committee. She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years Louis F. Auger, Jr., a son Jeffrey C. Auger, three daughters: Sherry A. Shepperd, her husband Tad; Kim Rodrigues, her husband Jim; Patricia J. Auger; seven grandchildren: Jeffrey, Michael, Lindsay, Allyson, Jimmy, Jennifer, and Becky; four great grandchildren: Mia, Michael, Lydia and Joseph; Doris is also survived by her brother Robert Comstock and sister Margot Comstock. Receiving of Friends will be held on Thursday, August 3, 2017 from 4 - 7 p.m. at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, (vpfh.com), 257 Godwin Ave., Wyckoff. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday at 10:00 a.m. at Christ Episcopal Church, 105 Cottage Place, Ridgewood, NJ 07450. In lieu of flowers contributions in Doris' memory may be made to Christ Episcopal Church.
