Mr. Kieffer taught several of the most popular classes; drafting, design, and woodworking. In a crowded classroom full of sometimes rowdy male adolescents, I never heard him raise his voice. He had immeasurable patience and was one of the kindest men I have ever known. I have missed him ever since I left his classroom in 1964. He was the one teacher I made a point to visit after I returned from Vietnam. To his family; I extend my most sincere sympathies at this time of loss.

Mr. Kieffer was a wonderful teacher and mentor. He possessed immeasurable patience and tolerance. I never once heard him raise his voice in a classroom filled with sometimes rowdy male adolescents. He was a true gentleman. I have missed him since I last left his classroom / shop area in 1964. To his family, I extend my most sincere sympathies at this time of loss.

We were blessed at Westhaven to have had both Dorothy and Tom as residents. Tom was always the gentleman, became a regular attender in our chapel services, and was so very devoted during Dorothy's illness. The quality and character of his family and friends also told you a lot about Tom. A real pleasure to have known him.
