Donald "Bud" Pyle

Donald "Bud" Pyle, age 90, passed away on Sunday, December 3, 2017. Bud graduated from Zeeland High School and served in the United States Navy during World War II. He was a charter member of Community Reformed Church where he served as both deacon and elder. He also served as Holland Township Fire Chief. Most importantly, he was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. Donald was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Hilda; his brother and sisters, Harvey Pyle, Eleanor and Ken Winstrom, June Janssen, Nella and Dr. Robert Burton; brothers and sisters-in-law, Clarence and Mae Elenbaas, Kathleen "Dolly" and Gary Jaarda. Donald is survived by his children: David and Barb Pyle (Nathan and Sarah Pyle [Luke, Evelyn], Justin Pyle), Don and Linda Pyle (Chad and Sarah Pyle [Tony, Mia, Gavin, Griffin], Shawn and Nichole Pyle [Gavin, Caleb, Justine], Joei and David Martinez [Elliana, Adele, Marlowe, Ezekiel]), Dirk and Cyndi Pyle (Bridget, Trudy, Deke and Anna, Chase and Molly [Hailey]), Jan and Jim Dolson (Kyle, Connor, Erin), brother-in-law, Virgil Janssen; and special friend Lila Bouwens and her children Joel and Mary Anne, John and Holly, Jim and Patti. Visitation is 4:00-7:00 pm Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at Yntema Funeral Home, 251 S. State St. Zeeland, MI 49464. Funeral services with military honors are 11:00 am Thursday, December 7, 2017 at Second Reformed Church, 225 E. Central Ave., Zeeland, MI. The Rev. Nathan Pyle, Dr. Dann Stouten, and Rev. Karsten Voskuil will officiate. Please note change in location. Memorial contributions may be made to Words of Hope and Teen Parent Resources. Burial to take place in Zeeland Cemetery.
