Janet Miller Sachs

Janet Miller Sachs, 90, of Mt. Pleasant, SC (last 8 years) and prior to that of Lancaster, PA, passed away Sunday, February 11, 2018. Janet was born in Lancaster, PA, daughter of Grace Liggett Miller and Harry Bucher Miller. She married the love of her life, Leon Robert Sachs (deceased), and raised her two children, Kevin (deceased) and Natalie in the home they built together in Lancaster. She is survived by her sister Doris Miller Brock, her daughter Natalie Baker and her husband Brett and her three grandchildren: Jacqueline Baker, Ethan Baker and Grant Baker. She was preceded in death by her brother Richard Martin, as well as her husband Leon and son Kevin. Janet was loved by all and was best known for her constant smile and little wave. Janet graduated from Manheim Township High School and she spent many summers on the Chesapeake as my father's first mate on their beloved Suzie Jo. In addition to raising her children, Janet was involved in her church (Covenant United Methodist) and various community organizations that she and Leon enjoyed participating in together, especially the Lancaster Power Squadron. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Down Syndrome Association of the Lowcountry, P.O. Box 2275, Mt. Pleasant, SC 29465-2275 or Covenant United Methodist Church, 110 N. Mulberry St, Lancaster, PA 17603. A memorial service in honor of Janet will be held Saturday, February 24th 11:00am at J. HENRY STUHR INC., MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road, Mt.
