David Bernard Wolff

David Bernard Wolff went to rest with the Lord on February 20, 2018 in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 87. David is survived by Gertrude Theresa Wolff, his wife of 61 years. They have 4 sons, Ronnie, Randy, Tommy (Ruth) and Michael (Tanya). He also has 3 brothers, Bobby, Gerald and Jimmy (deceased). He was preceded in death by Rose and Arthur (Mother and Father). He was born in San Antonio, Texas on December 15, 1930. He attended St. Gerard High School. He attended St. Mary's University. He served in the U.S. Navy. He married Gertie on September 1, 1956. David had a very fulfilling life. He retired from Pearl Brewery as a machinist after 41 years of service. He coached little league baseball for many years with all 4 boys. In 1971, he was a founding member of the Windcrest Volunteer Fire Department and was a member 31 years. He was always willing to help anyone in need and had a knack for fixing everything. David and Gertie have 10 grandchildren: Brandon, Colin, Sean, Amber, Randy Jr., Josh, Samantha (Sami), Alexa (Lexi), Cassie and Abby; great-grandchild, Dawsyn Rene. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m., Monday, February 26, 2018 at Porter Loring Mortuary North. A rosary will follow at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be at 9:30 a.m, Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at St. John Neumann Church located at 6680 Crestway, San Antonio, Texas, 78239. Burial Services will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery located at 17501 Nacogdoches Rd. San Antonio, Texas. 78266. Following the burial, a reception and lunch will be provided back at St. John Neumann Church. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for donations to be made to St. John Neumann church or the charity of your choice.
