Emilio Edward Colón, passed away on February 15, 2018 at the age of 71. He was born July 8, 1946 in San Antonio, TX. He attended Jefferson High School in San Antonio and after graduation enlisted to the United States Marine Corp. He served 3 years with the Marines and fought in the Vietnam War. He was a Knight of Columbus 3rd Degree Member of Council No. 2153 and 4th Degree Member of Assembly No. 1527 in Weimar Tx. He received Honorary Life Membership in 2017. He retired from Union Pacific after 30 years. Emilio had a love for the Texas Longhorns, his chickens, baseball and in particular the Astros but the greatest love of all for him was for his wife, Jovita, his sons and his grandchildren. He left behind many memories and those of you lucky enough to know him know that he always had a kind word, and an infectious personality. With excitement and with his camera, he attended as many events as he could for his grandkids. He was preceded in death by his parents Emilio and Aurora Colón. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Jovita Colón, his son, Christopher and wife Sandra; grandchildren Danielle and Gabrielle, and son, Patrick; grandchildren Austin, Bryn, Mara and Kyla, his sister Aurora Garcia and husband Carlos; brother George Colón.
