Billy Gay Jones

Billy Gay Brooks Jones, age 58 of Maple St. passed away Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at Carolinas Healthcare System – Cleveland. She was born May 29, 1959 in Lincoln County to Claudean Gilbert Brooks of Cherryville and the late Billy Grant Brooks. Billy Gay enjoyed working with computers and playing computer games, especially Bingo and Candy Crush. She assisted her fiancé with his Pest Control business. Billy Gay was always very social and loved to chat with friends and family. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her son, Joshua Grant Jones. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her fiancé, Michael Lamoureux; brother, Guy Brooks (Gina Scariot) of Salem, VA; nephews, Ryne Brooks of Raleigh and Dustin Brooks of Falls Church, VA; niece, Lindsay Green of Salem, VA; and sister-in-law, Michelle Huddleston and her son, Stephen of Forestville, MD. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, April 29, 2018 at 3:00 PM at Carpenter-Porter Funeral & Cremation Services with Rev. Jerry Goodman officiating. Burial will follow at City Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 1:30 to 2:45 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.
