So sorry, just heard the news. Dr. Macero was my PhD academic adviser at Syracuse University. I will never forget his professionalism, intelligence and kindness. He was a great individual who left only great memories. RIP Dr. Macero.

I remember Dan very well from my early years as a young faculty member in the Chemistry Department at Syracuse. He was a wonderful colleague and an honored friend. He helped mentor me at the start of my career and was always ready to help. A warm, caring, thoughtful and generous man, I will cherish my memory of Dan!

I was saddened to learn about the death of Daniel Macero, whom I have known for many years. He was a wonderful person and married to Jeanette, my best friend. Jeanette and I worked together for over 30 years so I was often at their home or they at mine. My condolences to the family. I wish them comfort, peace, and beautiful memories.
