Raymond Cole

Raymond L Cole, 71, of Weeki Wachee, passed away on June 13, 2018 at Oak Hill Hospital. He was born on December 20, 1946 in Kansas City, Missouri and came to Florida in 2001 from Rhode Island. Raymond was a member and reader at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church. He is a 23 year veteran of the United States Navy during the Vietnam Era and served as a aviation and helicopter electrician. Raymond was an electrical engineer for 20 years at Foxboro Company in Foxboro, Massachusetts. He also taught Electrical Instrumentation at Rhode Island Community College for 12 years, and after moving to Florida taught at Remington College in Tampa.. Raymond loved flower and vegetable gardening, watching the Star Wars movies, and being on the computer. He was a licensed foster parent for 15 years and was a member of Hernando County Foster Parent Association. Raymond is survived by his wife of 49 years; Elaine A. Cole, they married on November 15, 1969 in Rhode Island. He is also survived by his children; son, Jason W. Cole of Johnson, Rhode Island; son, Joshua R Cole of Weeki Wachee, Florida; son, James Cole of The United States Marine Corps; daughter, Desiree Cole of Spring Hill, Florida; daughter, Maria Cole of Bradenton, Florida; son, Austin Cole of Weeki Wachee, Florida; 9 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; brother, David Cole of Texas; brother, Stanley Cole of Texas; and sister Carol Cole of Texas. Requiem service will be held at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, 2301 Deltona Blvd, Spring Hill, 34606, on Friday, June 22nd at 11 am with The Reverend Lance Wallace. Reception to follow at Church Hall. In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Andrew's Episcopal church in Ray Cole's memory.
