Eleanor Marie Reese Goolsby, of Mesquite, Texas, passed away on February 12, 2012 after a long, hard fought, seventeen year battle with Parkinson’s disease. Ellie was born on February 28, 1938 in Brownsville, Texas. She was adopted by Steve J. and Eleanor R. Reese. A graduate of W. H. Adamson High School, Dallas, Texas (1957), she was an active supporter of their alumni association. She worked for Braniff Airlines, Southwest Airlines, Minyard’s, Dillard’s, and Hallmark Cards. She is survived by her daughter, Zina C. Goolsby of Mesquite, Texas (Fouad Brair), and her daughter and son-in-law, Sissie and Randy Witt of Irving, Texas. She is also survived by the pride and joy of her life, her 2 granddaughters, Megan and Hilary Witt of Irving, Texas. Services for Ellie will be on February 14, 2012 at Saint Michael the Archangel of Garland, Texas. A rosary will be held at 10 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Our mother will be laid to rest in the vicinity of her parents as per her final wishes at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens, Irving, Texas. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the charity of your choice.
