Dr. Eung Ryong Choi

CHOI Dr. Eung Ryong Choi of Newtown Square, PA passed on December 23, 2018. He was 79 years old, lived a full life, and was surrounded by his family during his final days on earth. Beloved husband of 50 years to Young Ok (Lee) and loving father of Charlie Choi (Juen Kim), Phil Choi (Yvonne Tsang) and Anne Sweeny (Andrew), and dear grandfather of 7 (Joseph, Luke, Noah, Levi, Miles, Maisie, and Ophelia). Dr. Choi faithfully served as a flight surgeon in the Korean Air Force, then dedicated the rest his career to being a solo-practice Pediatrician for 50 years, including his private practice throughout that time and serving on staff at the Jaisohn Medical Center in Philadelphia for the past 30 years. He also served as an Elder at Emmanuel Church for many years. Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation and Memorial Service on Fri. Dec. 28th, at 7 PM at the Emmanuel Presbyterian Church, 4723 Spruce St., Philadelphia, PA, 19139. On Sat., Dec. 29th, all are invited to a second Viewing from 8:30 to 9:30 AM at the Danjolell Memorial Home of Broomall, 2811 West Chester Pike, Broomall, PA 19008. A brief Viewing Service to follow at 9:30 AM, then procession to George Washington Memorial Park, 80 Stenton Avenue, Plymouth Meeting, PA 19462, for burial service.
