Rose Liotine, age 90, of Wakefield died Sunday, March 3 at the Melrose Wakefield Hospital. Born in Boston on January 16, 1929 she was the daughter of the late Rocco and Angelina (Vetere) Aliberti. Mrs. Liotine was raised in East Boston and was a graduate of East Boston High School, Class of 1946. She had been a longtime Revere resident before making her home in Wakefield. She was a member of St. Florence Church where she had taught CCD. She was the beloved wife of the late Vincent Liotine, Jr. She was the loving mother of Vincent Liotine and Valerie of Wakefield, Robert Liotine and his wife Cynthia Cronin of Newton, Janet Means and her husband Warren of Wakefield, Rosanne Hrdy and her husband Frank of Melrose, and James C. Liotine and his wife Corinne of Wakefield. She was the sister of Eva L. Reed of Reading and the late Jennie Marino, Anna Busheme, Eda Antonellis, and James, John, Alvino, and Luigi Aliberti. She is also survived by her ten grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and one great great granddaughter. A private Funeral Mass was celebrated in St. Florence Church, Wakefield on Thursday, March 7. In lieu of flowers, donations in Rose's honor may be made to MSPCA-Angell, 350 South Huntington Avenue, Boston, MA 02130.
