I really enjoyed working with Dick at the ODOT. He was a genuine person and needless to say, will be missed. Thoughts and prayers go out the Dick and his family.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Dick's family. May God provide comfort. Dick was a first class engineer that I looked up to. Though we didn't work together often, he leaves a lasting impression on my life. Thank you Dick for being one of the good ones.

Dick was a most caring friend as well as an outstanding engineer. I cherish his mentoring me at the beginning of my career and always enjoyed working with Dick. God bless you Dick.

Dick Walters will be deeply missed. He was one of my first mentors. He was always patient and kind (especially with a young, often confused, engineer). He was a joy to work with and to know. I have fond memories of my times working with him and his memory will hold a special place in my life. May he rest in peace.

Terrible loss. We, his professional colleagues, will sorely miss his dedication, open mind, sound judgement, and - most especially - his good humor. He taught much, would probably insist that he learned more, and left an indelible mark on his work and his fellows.
