Jeffrey A. Platt

RAYNHAM---Jeffrey A. Platt, 56, of Raynham, passed away on October 9, 2020 after a period of failing health. Born in Taunton, he was the son of Raymond and Sheila (Heath) Platt of Raynham, where he was raised and educated through grade eight. Jeff was a graduate of Coyle and Cassidy High School in Taunton and attended Bristol Community College. He later entered the United States Marine Corps, serving his country proudly for 10 years. Following Jeff's honorable discharge as a Sergeant, he was employed as a carrier for the U.S. Postal Service. Jeff loved nature and was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying his free time hunting, fishing, hiking and canoeing. In addition to his parents, Jeff is also survived by a son, Scott Platt and his wife Katy of Arizona; four grandchildren, Hannah, Keith, C.J. and Faith Platt, all of Arizona; two sisters, Michele Platt of Port St. Lucie, FL. and Patricia Gear and her husband Shaun of Raynham; a niece Colleen Gear and a nephew Ryan Gear, both of Raynham; his longtime companion Wanda Dixon of Raynham; and his close marine brother, David Delsey of Tennessee.
