Dolores Porter Obituary

Published by Dunn-Givnish Funeral Home on Dec. 21, 2020.
Dolores "Dee" Porter passed away peacefully on December 21, 2020 with her family by her side. She was 75. Born in Avalon, NJ, Dolores was the daughter of Maryanne and Milton Boyle. She is survived by her children, William, Michele Vizy (George), Tracey Walsh, and Jill Nahill (Gabriel). She is further survived by her 8 grandchildren, Dayna (Michael), Courtnee, William, Heather, Jason, Michaela, and Gabriella; 5 great-grandchildren, Cassidy, Alex Jr., Mason, Olivia, and Emery; sister, Maryanne Martin; and best friend, June Garettson. Dolores was preceded in death by her partner Richard "Dick" Schwartz, and her granddaughter Brittany Ray Walsh. Dee attended Little Flower High School and had a career as a legal secretary in various law firms. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was affectionately known as Mom-Mom and G.G. Every year Dee rented a big house in Sea Isle, NJ so the family could spend time making wonderful memories with each other. For Dee, family came first, last, and always. She enjoyed traveling, cooking, and listening to Andrea Bocelli. Her most cherished trip was to Italy with Richard. As her health declined, she often repeated the quote: "If you can't laugh you might as well be dead". Dee loved to laugh and make others feel happy. Relatives and friends are invited to Dolores' Life Celebration on Wednesday, December 30, 2020, from 10 AM to 11 AM at Dunn Givnish Funeral Home, 378 S. Bellevue Avenue, Langhorne, PA 19047. A service will follow at 11 AM. For those who are unable to attend, a live stream of Dolores' service will be available on our Dunn Givnish Facebook Page beginning at 11 AM. Interment will take place at Resurrection Cemetery. Masks and social distancing are required. In lieu of flowers or gifts, donations on Dee's behalf can be made to a charity close to your heart. Condolences may be sent to the Porter family by visiting www.DunnGivnish.com.

Iam so sorry to hear about the loss of your mom. Losing anyone you love is the hardest thing anyone has to deal with in life. We never forget them or lose that pain entirely it will ease as you learn to just live with out them. All of you are in my thoughts and prayers.

I was one of the gals that took care of Dee's little dog Kona. She loved Kona and Kona loved her back. She would prepare Kona's food and I told Kona one time if she didn't eat her food I would because it looked so good. Dee was a wonderful, full of fun person and she touched many lives leaving lasting memories. She will be missed by her family and friends.

I am so happy and blessed that Dee and the Coughlin women reconnected a few years ago. As Dee's cousins we shared lots of memories at our lunches. Godspeed Delores as you soar with the angels.

I can remember as a kid going down to her Shore house during the summer with my closest friends, such great childhood memories, thanks to Dee. What a beautiful light, and a wonderful person, she will surely be missed.
