Charles Stead Obituary

Published by D'Anjolell Memorial Home of Broomall on Jan. 26, 2021.
STEAD Jr. Charles K. Stead Jr. ("Chuck-o") age 49, on Jan. 26, 2021 of Easttown, PA. Chuck-o passed away unexpectedly on January 26th 2021. He was the owner of Ace Unlocks and Tommy's Mainline Towing. Chuck-o has been a well known member in the community and has been active in various events within the community. Growing up Chuck-o was active in many sports. While attending Conestoga High School he loved wrestling while being given the nickname "Spider" as well as Baseball and Golf. Golf is where he exceled and became his main focus. With the opportunity his grandparents provided him he looked forward to playing at Chester River Yacht and Country Club, in Chestertown, MD where he went from playing on the high school golf team to furthering his career with a full scholarship at the University of West Florida. Family was Chuck-o's first priority. Chuck-o was a devoted father to Jack and Jocelyn. He loved spending time with his children whether it was playing around the yard with a basketball or soccer ball, fishing, or traveling around and searching for Pokemon. His children idoled their father and loved when they were able to ride around in his tow truck. Chuck-o was fortunate to find the love of his life Katherine Tener. She was able to bring him the happiness he had been looking for. It is unfortunate that their time was cut short, but we know their love will last forever! Chuck-o was the son of the late Charles K. Sr. Survived by his Mother Catherine (nee Durante), his fiancé Katherine Tener, his son John Charles (Jack), daughter Jocelyn, and Katherine Tener's daughter Katelyn Tener. His brother's Mitchell (Jennifer Sides),and Jonathan (Meagan Enderson), and his sisters Julianne (Rick) Jackson and Helen (Parker) Knight. His nieces Taylor Sutton, Kennedy Jackson, and Breeland Stead. Chuck-o was also the Godfather to Tyne Roney. Chuck-o was a member of St. Monica's Parish in Berwyn, PA With the loss of Charlie and Chuck-o on the same day we should all be thinking about them both riding off in a lock van or tow truck together forever! In lieu of flowers donations are encouraged to made to a trust that is being set up for his children. Please reach out to Mitchell Stead with any questions. Due to COVID-19 services will tentatively be held on May 22nd weather permitting and the time will be determined. No other services are scheduled at this time

Rest easy my brother we have it from here.

Frank Schaeffer
When I'm called to duty God wherever flames may rage
grant me the strength to save a life whatever be its age

Help me to embrace a little child before it is too late
or save an older person from the horror of that fate

Enable me to be alert to hear the weakest shout
and quickly and efficiently put the fire out

I want to fill my calling Lord and give the best in me
to guard my every neighbor and protect his property

And if according to your will I am to lose my life
God bless with your protecting hand my children and my wife

Chuck-O's passing is a huge loss to the Towing industry and to the community. He was one of the hardest working guys we know. He was always there for not just his customers but for his friends in the towing and auto business as well. Chock-O will live on in our memories forever. We send our prayers and sympathy to the Stead family and friends. God Bless.

Nothing Gold Can Stay

Nature’s first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf’s a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.

I used to have so much fun playing baseball with Chucko and being coached by his dad. Mr. Stead was a great coach. Sitting in the back of study hall cracking jokes together was always a fond memory. I'm sad we never hung out as adults and am deeply saddened by the news. My heart goes out to the family.

Chuck was a great next door neighbor and friend, always helping anyone who needed it. I spoke to him the day before and was shocked he passed so suddenly. He will be sorely missed in the neighborhood. My heart goes out to anyone who knew this great guy. May he rest in peace.

Chucko, your passing leaves a heartache that will be very hard to heal. You'll forever be remembered as a kind and caring person who loves spending time with family and friends. You always made yourself available to brighten the lives of others. You took the time and were always there to help and support all your family and friends.
Every persons life must at sometime end, but how they lived and who they touched is what we remember. You will always be remembered for being a kind and caring person. You will be deeply missed by all.

Charlie, you will always be remembered as a person dedicated to your family, friends and your community. From supporting little league, the Berwyn and Paoli Fire Company's, and the Devon Horse Show you always made yourself available to support the community.
You are a good friend and always supported whatever endeavor we would get involved in. You will always be remembered for being a kind and caring person, and it is not hard to see how that attribute filtered down through your family.
I feel very fortunate to have known you and become a part of your amazing family. I've enjoyed having you as a friend, and, guarantee you'll never be forgotten. Good luck my friend!

I’m going to miss Chuck very much. We spent countless hours working on cars together. It’s a great loss to us all. He was always there to help anyone that needed it. No questions asked. I’m still in disbelief that he’s gone.
