James "Ray" DeFeo

James "Ray" DeFeo, 60, of Brigantine passed away on Monday October 11, 2021. Ray was born in Philadelphia PA. to the late Luciano and Dorothy (nee Kelly) DeFeo. Ray was an avid crabber and fisherman. He was a fan of all the Philly Sports Teams. Ray enjoyed music, especially listening to Bob Seger. Ray was a great cook. He could be seen cooking out on the grill during the summer time. Ray was a bartender at the Sands Hotel Casino from 1990 until it closed in 2006. After the Sands closed, he was employed by Harrah's until he became ill. Ray is survived by his beloved wife Suanne (nee Kelly), his sisters Colleen Possanza (Vincent), Patricia Cassella and his brother Luciano DeFeo. He is also survived by his Godson Dominic Possanza, his mother-in-law Antoinette Kelly, his brother-in-law Matt Kelly, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends and his shadow Ozzie. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Life Celebration for Ray on Saturday October 23, 2021 from 9 to 10:30 AM at the Keates-Plum Funeral Home, 3112 Brigantine Ave Brigantine.
