CHARLIE you will missed by so many. You story telling of you life stories are some of the best. Your love for your kids, and grandkids are un matched only for the great love for your late wife. Our lunches and dinners where some of the best of times. My God you knew everyone. And yes you would always smell like a cigar when you depart my shop. Rest know Charlie, you are with your wife again, Love ya Pal/Tell we meet again.. Pat Shaw

Dearest Patrick, Bridgett, Maggie and the whole family . . . well this could go on and on but, I'll try to be brief. Of the many qualities I admired about your dad, the most valuable lesson I learned from him was how very hard he tried to pay his respects to the families of those who he knew had lost dear loved ones. No matter how inconvenienced he may have been - he realized it meant the world to the family that he appear to pay his final respects and say true, kind, genuine words. I so very much admired that about him. I am deeply pained that I was not home to give back to him the same respect that he gave to so many through the years. Your dad was so proud of his family, his career his City! It showed! I am so sorry for your loss, but grateful for the many legacies he has left behind.
You will all remain in our loving thoughts and prayers!

Chief Moffatt was a great guy, I had the privilege of working with him and also teasing him over the years about his resemblance at least to me of the actor Tommy Lee Jones, he would always laugh and say he wished he was, such a sweet and caring guy. A loss to everyone who knew him especially to his family. May the many memories shared bring you comfort in the days ahead. My deepest sympathies for your loss.

Pat and family: I am very sorry to learn of Charlie's passing. He was always a class act, a cop's cop and a good man. I always enjoyed working with him professionally and got along well with him personally. My thoughts, prayers and sympathy to all his loved ones.
