GUNDERSEN, William F. "Bill". Of Brockton, formerly of Dorchester, died April 17, 2022. Beloved husband and soulmate of Trisha "Pat" L. (Smith) Gundersen. Loving father of Amanda Workman of Florida, Jason Hurley of Rockland, and William and his wife Samantha Gundersen of Newton. Cherished "Grandpa" and "Papa" of Kelsey, Haley, Kevin, Christopher, Kaitlyn, Camryn, Ella, and Eric. Great-grandfather of Adelynn, Kylie, and Ryker. Brother of Mark and his wife Donna Gundersen of NH, Frank Gundersen of Milton, and the late Edward Gundersen and Katherine Jones. Bill is also survived and loved by several nieces and nephews. Family and friends will honor and remember Bill's life by gathering for visiting hours in the Murphy Funeral Home, 1020 Dorchester Ave., DORCHESTER, on Thursday, April 21, 2022 from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Burial with Military Honors will be held at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Connery Ave., Bourne, on Thursday, April 28, 2022 at 11:30 A.M. Bill was a veteran serving in the U.S. Air Force. He was a retired custodian of the Boston Public Schools for over 20 years. He was an avid fisherman and loyal Red Sox fan. But most importantly, he loved his family, and was a fantastic husband, father, grandfather, and brother.
