I am sad to hear that Mrs. Shirley Wild has passed. She worked for me almost 20 years ago at Walgreens in Mandeville on Hwy 22. She was just a magnificent person as a human being. I can say I was blessed to have ever known her. She was one of the best employees I ever had, and always had a wonderful attitude at work. God gained an amazing Angel and soul the day Mrs. Shirley got her wings. My condolences to her family as she was an amazing person.

Our family has been changed for the better by having Shirley (Wirley) and her family (Emmett, Doug, and Donna) as our dear friends and neighbors for over 46 years. Whenever I needed to see straight and understand the issue, Ms. Shirley was sure willing to give it to me and make me appreciate the words of wisdom always with love. I am sure my mind, heart, and spirit have been enriched by Ms. Shirley and her wonderful family.
Thanks again for finding me outside Tulane Stadium following the Saints game. Thank you for sharing your life and your story with the Garrison family. Love you and please save a place for me at the dinner/card/coffee table in heaven. God Bless you and your family always. Bernie Garrison

Shirley was a dear friend, fantastic gardener and giving person. We served on the Altar Guild together, she also served on the flower guild.
She helped make cookies for the Rayburn correctional center. She will be deeply missed..

Shirley and I are first cousins on my mother's side. Rudolph Hoover was my mother's brother. My mother was Clellie Veronica Hoover Burns.
Shirley and her sister Juanita were often the playmates of my sister, Bertie and me.
We did a lot of day-dreaming and walking on the Hoover land when we were
younger. I will miss her terribly. When visiting my sister in Bogalusa, we would
always call Shirley, then we would get together and reminisce.
I would love for someone in her little family to write or call me. Last year, about this time, Shirley and I talked as I was thinking of visiting Loisiana again.
