Soccer career
Walkes began his professional career with Tottenham Hotspur in his hometown of London in 2016. In 2017, he relocated to the U.S. to join the newly established Atlanta United, added as one of two MLS expansion teams that year. After a brief return to England to play for Portsmouth, Walkes returned to Atlanta United in 2020. He was drafted by another expansion team, Charlotte FC, and began playing for them last year in their inaugural season.
