Longtime Dead Kennedys drummer
D.H. Peligro (real name Darren Henley) was the longtime drummer for the seminal punk rock band the Dead Kennedys. Peligro joined the band in 1981, taking over for original drummer Ted who was with the band when they began in 1978. Peligro was a member of the band until they broke up in 1986. The Dead Kennedys reunited in 2001 and except for a very brief period, Peligro was their drummer up until the time of his passing. In 1988, Peligro joined the Red Hot Chili Peppers but was fired for substance abuse. He fronted his own band called Peligro, releasing three albums.
