1995 World Series winner with the Braves
Dwight Smith made his Major League debut as an outfielder with the Chicago Cubs in 1989 with the team winning the NL East division. He finished second for NL Rookie of the Year behind fellow teammate Jerome Walton. The Cubs released him in 1993 and the California Angels signed him in 1994 and then traded him to Baltimore in the middle of the season. He then signed with the Atlanta Braves, winning a World Series ring with the club in 1995 and playing his last season in the Majors in 1996. He had a career batting average of .275.
