Ian McGinty’s legacy
McGinty’s “Welcome to Showside” was about Kit, a kid who was next in line for the family business: taking over the world. In 2015, “Welcome to Showside” was optioned for an animated pilot. McGinty wrote the script for the pilot, worked on the art, and provided Kit’s voice.
McGinty also drew comics tie-ins for the animated series, “Adventure Time,” as well as “Bee and PuppyCat,” “Bravest Warriors,” and “Invader Zim.”
