Marvin Powell (1955–2022), legendary New York Jets offensive lineman

Marvin Powell was a legendary offensive tackle for the New York Jets who was a five-time Pro Bowl selection.   

Jets Legend

Marvin Powell was a star offensive lineman at USC, earning All-American two years and helping USC win the 1974 National Championship. He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 1994. The New York Jets selected Powell fourth overall in the 1977 NFL draft. He was a five-time Pro Bowl selection with New York. He finished his last two seasons in the NFL with Tampa Bay, retiring in 1987. After pro football, Powell became a lawyer.
