Peter Crombie’s legacy
Crombie’s “Seinfeld” character was one of the show’s all-time great minor characters. “Crazy” Joe menaced Jerry and his friends in several episodes of the show’s fourth season, including one memorable turn in clown makeup.
While Crombie never had a starring role, he made many other TV appearances. He had guest spots on such shows as “Spenser: For Hire,” “Perfect Strangers,” “As the World Turns,” “Law & Order,” “Star Trek: Deep Space Nine,” “L.A. Law,” “Picket Fences,” “NYPD Blue,” and “Walker, Texas Ranger.”
Crombie also had a career on the big screen. His movie appearances included “Born on the Fourth of July,” “The Doors,” “Natural Born Killers,” and “Seven.”
