Dr. Peter Sakas was a veterinarian who owned Niles Animal Hospital in Niles, Illinois as well as Bird Medical Center. He also worked with Flint Creek Wildlife Rehabilitation to treat sick and injured wild animals so they could be rereleased into the wild.

“Dr. Sakas allowed me to stay at the Niles animal hospital on a very busy Saturday when my bird, Meatball Sr. had to be put down. Dr. Sakas gave me all the time I needed to say goodbye to my companion of 11 years.”
