Constance Dowling Obituary
Constance was born on April 27, 1926 in Ontario, Canada and became a U.S. Citizen on January 3, 1938. She attended Oberlin University before receiving her master's degree in art history from the University of Wisconsin, where she met John Dowling. After 52 years of marriage, they retired to Williamsburg, VA.
She is survived by her son, Robert Dowling and wife, Laura; and grandchildren, Victoria and husband, Jon, Michele and Nicole.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Chantel Dunham, Director of Development, Main Library, University of Georgia Library, 320 South Jackson Street, Athens, GA 30602. Make the check payable to the Arch Foundation. Designate your gift towards Hargrett Rare Books and Manuscript Library in memory of Constance Dowling.

To Robert and Laura Dowling and their children, we express our sincere condolences on Connie Dowling's passing. We were good friends, when your parents lived in Athens, and unfortunately later lost touch.
