Mr. Rey was a true gentleman in every sense of the word. His engaging way and always being a positive person will continue to have an impact on me as a person. Glen was my first banker in Sarasota. He quickly became a dear friend. He always found time to discuss business, then politics and a few jokes. I will miss his wit and kindness. He fought a valiant battle. Now he can rest in the arms of our Lord.

Glen was a true gentleman and a fine banker and representative for Northern Trust. He started at Northern one day after I did in 1968 and we always joked about our respective college roots at Notre Dame and Michigan. His passing is a loss to all who knew him.

I've known Glen since '62, since he and I were both 18, born a day apart. He never changed, and didn't want to, nor did we. He knew who he was, and so did those who knew him, and so also those who will now miss him. We send our thoughts and prayers to his loving family.

Hoo Rey!! What memories you evoke in me! I was privileged to share the Northern Trust experience with this truly unique and caring individual. So very sad to learn of Glen's passing. I had the pleasure of working with Glen at Northern Trust for a number of years. He was a true gentleman and a professional and well respected in the community. The warmth, compassion and humor Glen exuded was appreciated and will be remembered by his family, friends, clients, and the many people he touched.
