To the family of Jacob. I met your other son the other day recognizing that he was wearing a memorial bracelet. We talked about his and mine. I am a Marine mom and have been very involved in the military support field in Az. I told your son that I designed the Az Gold Star license plate and he said you may want to speak with me. Losing our children is the hardest walk ever but know that you are not in this Gold Star club alone. Please feel free to reach out to talk, cry, share, laugh or just be. I am so sorry you lost your son. My grief blanket is large enough to wrap around you too. Blesssing sent. My email is [email protected]

Dear Hug family,
Your son and your brother gave ultimate sacrifice for my (Nepali) people in our hour of great despair. A soldier who stood in solidarity with human beings in their hour of need. He exemplified the best of humanity, a true soldier indeed. Thank you very much for sharing your son and your brother with us. We will always remember his life and sacrifice.

To the Hug Family: bless you for having such a wonderful son. May you feel the hands of God comforting you at this time, and may you know there is a country grateful for his service (probably two as the Nepalese were benefitting from his service also). I have read your stories in the newspaper; thank you for sharing. May you stay strong. Peace be with you all.
