Franklyn Williams Obituary

WILLIAMS, FRANKLYN CONROY, He was a graduate of the University of Central Florida, Orlando, where he received his Ph.D this year in counseling. He also was awarded the Pegasus Award for the highest academic achievement possible. He is survived by his father, Rodney M. Williams; mother, Frances M. Williams; sister, Dr. Yasmin Williams-Robinson; brother-in- law, Marc Robinson; grandmother, Alma Brown; and a host of other relatives and friends. Memorial Services for Franklyn Conroy Williams, age 33 of Orlando, FL, and formerly of Nassau, Bahamas, who passed away on Thursday, April 1, 2004 will be held at 1PM, Monday, April 5, 2004 at the New Church of Faith Inc., 5000 Silver Star Rd, Orlando. A Zanders Service (407) 886-3388.

Conroy,

I didn't get the chance to say goodbye, I know that death is a part of life but it is still not an easy thing to accept especially when someone that you are close to and love dies.

I join with your family and friends who are very proud of your accomplishments. You have impacted so many lives, I too believe that fulfilled your purpose here on earth. I am very proud of your legacy you have left behind.

To Conroys Family: It certainly was a coincidence meeting Conroys Father online on July 8th 2004. This was when I found out that the smart kid who went to St. Johns with me had moved to a higher calling. We have lost a great young man but God Knows best and we dont have the right to question.

To the family, I say hold the wonderful memories and let them live on in your lives as we pass through this material world that God has given us for but a season.

It's been a while since you moved on, and I'm still in disbelief. The world is truly diminished by your absence, and I know that heaven is enriched by your presence. I keep remembering that trip that I took with your family to LA back in 1983 - and the tons of high school memories. We were like brothers back then! Thanks for sharing your dad with me! I do find peace knowing that you're in heaven - but you are greatly missed on earth!

Man, I thought you were in DC. Last we talked, you were in route to the Capital City! I'm gonna miss you man. The news of your new promotion was a serious uplift for me. I am still trying to come to terms with your not being here anymore...We shared a truly special relationship and I have wonderful memories of the times we spent in Toronto. I looked forward to seeing you every weekend. It didn't really matter what we did...hang-out in the Eaton Centre...dinner..clubs...the point is that it was time well spent, because we bonded in such a special way. Gerry has fond memories of catching crabs with you in Exuma. The last time I saw you, I was expecting...you didn't get to meet Lil' G. We all miss you so much, but are so proud of your accomplishments!! We love you!

Words cant express the sadness I feel as a result of learning of your passing. You were truly a great freind. I to and very proud of the accomplishments u made . I will truly miss talkin to you all the time. Im still coming to grips that u are no longer here physically. I can remember the last time I spoke with you in the hospital, full of spirit. You have created a void in my life which is so unreal. I will always remember our special times in Orlando, every summer, at the Golden Corral Buffet Restaurant, and Bahama Breeze. If I had only known that my last visit to Orlando in August of 2003 would have been our last time together, I surely would have spent more than a week with you.

Death is a part of life but it is still not an easy thing to except particularly when it happens to someone that you are close to and love. so many questions and so little real ansewers. i will miss Franklyn very much, he was insparational, fun, loving. a real true brother who loved and cared for all of his fellow brothers. the songwriter said that "only the good die young", i am inclined to belive it. Rest in Peace my brother for we all are only here for a little while.
