Anthony Williams Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Robert Massie Funeral Home - San Angelo on Jan. 22, 2026.
Anthony R. Williams ii, lovingly known as "Anthony," was a remarkable young man whose life, though far too brief, was filled with purpose, passion, and promise. Anthony transitioned on January 16, 2026, at the age of 18, leaving an indelible mark on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

Public viewing will be from 10:00 AM until 8:00 PM with the Rosary being prayed at 6:00 PM Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel with Deacon Walter Hammons. Mass will be at 10:30 AM Thursday, January 29, 2026, at Holy Angelo Catholic Church with Very Rev. Santiago Udayar, pastor, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home.

Anthony was born May 5, 2007 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He was raised in Baton Rouge and San Angelo. He was a 2025 graduate of TLCA where he loved playing basketball. Anthony enjoyed gaming, and anything computer. Anthony is described as a "Gentle Giant" and always polite.

Anthony was a gifted and talented basketball player whose dedication, discipline, and love for the game set him apart. Basketball was more than a sport to him-it was a calling, a source of joy, and a reflection of his character. Through countless hours of practice and competition, he demonstrated perseverance, teamwork, and an unwavering drive to be his best. His talent and work ethic earned him the opportunity to continue his academic and athletic journey as a freshman student at Angelo State University, where he proudly pursued his dreams and represented his family with honor.

Beyond his achievements on the court and in the classroom, Anthony was a young man of heart. He was known for his warm smile, infectious energy, and the ability to uplift those around him. He inspired others not only through his athletic ability, but through his kindness, humility, and quiet strength. Anthony had a way of making people feel seen, valued, and encouraged-qualities that will forever define his legacy.

Anthony was a devoted and beloved son to his father, Anthony R. Williams I, and his mother, Dr. Torri D. Thomas, who nurtured his dreams and stood beside him with unwavering love and support. He was a cherished brother to Ayden R. Williams, whom he loved deeply and protected proudly. As a brother, Anthony was a role model-leading with love, laughter, and loyalty. Anthony is also survived by two uncles, Ruebin Williams and wife Euqua and Corey Thomas; his god-parents, Dr. Dena Owens and husband Rashad and Donald Williams, Jr. and wife Kirsten. Anthony was preceded in death by his grandparents, Joseph R. Williams, Karen Denis Price, Jerome John Williams, and Janice Marie Thomas; and an aunt, Cruzette Williams.

Though his time on this earth was short, Anthony's impact was immeasurable. His dreams were bold, his spirit was strong, and his future was bright. He will be remembered for his determination, his compassion, and the light he brought into every room. His legacy will live on through the lives he touched, the memories he created, and the love that will forever surround his name.

Anthony R. Williams II will be deeply missed and eternally loved. His life was a blessing, his memory a treasure, and his presence a gift that will never fade.
