Phyllis Radtke Obituary

Phyllis Marie Radtke

Appleton - went to her Lord on January 16, 2021, at age 88. She was born on May 18, 1932 to the late Thomas J. Jage and Viola Lohrbach. She was baptized into Christ on June 18, 1932 at St. James Lutheran Church in Shawano. On April 14, 1946 she was confirmed in her faith at St. James. Her confirmation verse was Philippians 1:2; "Grace be unto you and peace from God our father and from the Lord Jesus Christ". Phyllis married her husband, Harold, December 29, 1951, and they were blessed with 3 children. Phyllis was a polio survivor and lived a wonderful life as mother, homemaker, and worked at Thrivent for many years. Phyllis enjoyed her grandchildren and great grandchildren, attending many of their activities and family get togethers. This included many sporting events and dance recitals. She enjoyed spending time with her special friends for lunch for many years.

Phyllis shared her love for food, such as shrimp, chalupas and ice cream. She loved to read. Meditations, Forward in Christ and Guideposts were among her favorites. She read her newspaper front to back every day and enjoyed Danielle Steele novels. She enjoyed cheering on the Packers when they played. Mom even went on a stadium tour for her birthday. Her collection of angels were gifts from family and friends showing how much she meant to them.

Phyllis was immensely proud of her family and leaves nothing behind but beautiful memories.

Survivors include her children: Gary (Leanne) Radtke, and their children: Brent (Miranda) Radtke, Mark (Yiri) Radtke, Wes (Jenni) Radtke; Mike (Colleen) Radtke, and their children: Anthony (Holly) Radtke, Alicia (Joe) Zuleger; the children of the late Deb Radtke: Craig Haase, Nicole (Tyler) Jedwabny, Jeff Haase, Sara (Mike) Perock; great grandchildren: Dax, Lucy, Sophia, Mason, Brayden, Karrisa, Brett, Grant, Kaylin, Trenton, Addilyn, Cole, Ella, Adrianna, Rolena, Violet and Halle. Also two brothers Allen (Nancy) Lohrbach and Rich (Jeanne) Lohrbach and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold, her in-laws, her mother Viola 'Granny' Lohrbach, her daughter Deb Radtke and grandson Kevin Haase.

There will be a visitation on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am with a funeral service at 11:00 am at St Matthew Lutheran Church, Appleton, with Pastor Jon Kuske. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Matthew Lutheran Church or Fox Valley Lutheran High School. Burial will be at the Dale Union Cemetery in Hortonville following the service.

Her family would like to thank the staff at Living Tree Estates in Greenville for their loving care and Compassus Hospice for their care and concern they gave to Phyllis. Also special thanks to Nurse Practitioner Mary Kate, whom Phyllis adored.

We love you and will miss you every day until we see you again in heaven. Thank you for being a Godly example. Your Loving family.
