Omer J. Allain

Omer Abdon Joseph Allain of Waltham, MA passed away peacefully in Newton, MA on January 1, 2017 after a long illness. He would have celebrated his 70th birthday on January 16th. Omer was born in Wellington Parish, New Brunswick, Canada to the late Michel Allain and Catherine (Gaudet) Allain. He was a carpenter by trade working in construction his whole life. He enjoyed his family and music, particularly his favorite artist, the late George Jones. Omer is survived by his two sons , Kevin Allain of Wilmington, MA and Marc Allain of Waltham, MA. He also leaves seven siblings, Paul Allain and his wife Andrea of Waltham, Ren Allain and his wife Lorraine of St. Edouard, New Brunswick, Canada, Jean Allain and his husband Serge Cote of Montreal, Canada, Ron Allain of Toronto, Canada, Rita Cormier and her husband Louie of Acadieville, New Brunswick, Canada, Normand Allain of Montreal, Canada and Rhal Allain and his wife Lisa of Waltham. In addition he is survived by 3 grandchildren, Kayla Pineau, Brenna Allain and Justin Allain and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Marie Richard. Omer also leaves behind a very special friend, Susan Graham. A Memorial Mass will be held on Thursday, January 5, 2017 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted Church, 920 R Trapelo Road, Waltham, MA.
