KENNETH ROBERT SCHAEFFER (Age 63)
On Saturday, January 19, 2019, of Derwood, MD. Beloved husband for 29-1/2 years of Liz Schaeffer; father of Jessica (Eric), MacKenzie and Kasey; brother of Cathy (Chris), Wayne and Bruce; grandfather of Kaleb, Jacob and Marcus. Also survived by other loving family and friends. Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard West, Silver Spring, MD, (Valet Parking), Tuesday, January 22, from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Celebration of his life will be held at Mill Creek United Methodist Church, 7101 Horizon Terrace, Derwood, MD, on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Montgomery County Animal Services & Adoption Center, 7315 Muncaster Mill Road, Derwood, MD 20855.www.COLLINSFUNERALHOME.com

We are so sorry for your loss. Kenny and I knew each other for a long time. He was a great man. He will be missed so much. We cooked crabs at he Redland Pub ran the roads and had a great time. We just heard today of his passing. We are praying for the whole family. Love Linda and Ken Stone

A wonderful human being and a long time dear friend. He loved hunting the mountains of W.V. in November. He always had a smile on his face, and a joke or two to tell. He had his own tree stand, and he would take shelled peanuts with him. Waiting for the hunt, he would eat them and the squirrels would smell them. He had one squirrel that would come into the window and take the peanut from his hand. "Happy Hunting Tonto"
