Frances Barton Boggess



Frances Barton Boggess, 57 of Edgewood New Mexico passed away on November 3rd, 2020 at her home in the mountains after a lengthy dance with cancer. She was born March 8, 1963 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

She married Andres Gallegos of Santa Fe, New Mexico, in Sacramento, California, in 1992. Frances is survived by her husband, Andres, parents, Dr. Thomas Shelton Boggess III and Lindley Cheatham Boggess of Camp Verde, AZ, brother Thomas Shelton Boggess IV of Flagstaff, AZ, daughters Lindley L. Gallegos Bach, S. Rachel Gallegos, and Adela M. Gallegos, and many nieces and nephews.

Frances is preceded in death by Thomas Shelton Boggess Jr. (Grandfather), Sarah Jones Cheatham (Grandmother), Betsy Cheatham (Aunt).

Frances received her Masters in Public Administration from the University of Colorado Denver and her Bachelors in Arts in Journalism from Colorado State University.

Frances professional career included the Colorado Student Association, Sacramento Entrepreneurship Academy, Mijas Spanish Camp, Z-CoiL Footwear, Bear Canyon Realty, CRE Realtors, SCORE and Norwex.

Frances was a marksman shooter and competed in college. At 16, she shot a trophy desert bighorn sheep with her father in Arizona.
