Adán Carriaga Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Adán Carriaga. Adán grew up and lived in Old Town, off 15th Street. He was a major part of the community. He was the last member of his family to pass. Adán was preceded in death by his parents: Adam and Ruth; his siblings: Mary, Louis (Bones), Felix, and Sandra. Adán is survived by his wife: SeÃca; children: Jenina, Monica, Rebekah, and Kauane; grandchildren: Salvador, Bobbi, Abraham, Ruby, Gabriel, and Felix. We would like to thank all of Adán's family members and friends for their generosity and support. Adán's Life Celebration will take place on Saturday, May 8, 2021 at the Gazebo in Old Town. Rosary will be recited at 9:00 a.m. Eulogy will follow Rosary. Mass will follow the Euology. Adán will be laid to rest following the Mass at Mount Calvary Cemetery. It is hard to believe our dear friend Adan has been gone for a year because his presence is still so strong amongst us! His warmth and humor still make me laugh with the fond memories. I am always here for his beautiful wife and family, dear ones in their own right and and an extension of him.

I will miss you so much good friend. I know I am one of so many who can refer to Adan Carriaga as a GOOD friend. For Adan, humility was his nature - he would do good deeds to benefit others anonymously, he defined loyal and was the first one there when help was needed. I´ve never met anyone who spread such peace, joy and love as Adan. It was honest and came from the heart. That´s why losing him is so painful. After I lost my Mom you showed me such comfort in your chapel and told me a part of her will always be there. I was welcome any time to spend time there. Her photo is still on the alter last I was there. I´m glad we saw each other whenever I was in town from L.A. I was looking forward to seeing you at the next Religious Market. Your great artistic talent will be missed as will your presence in helping those in the substance abuse community. I love you. Give Kent a hug from me in heaven.

Adan was my neighbor in the Sawmill Historic District. He generously shared with me the history of the neighborhood, the families, and the customs where he lived his entire life.
The most special place in Sawmill is Adan's chapel that he designed and built himself in memory of his mother. Adan's beautiful Santos and art are lovingly displayed in the chapel.
I will always remember Adan's big smile, bigger heart and the biggest spirit that touched everyone he met. I feel blessed to have known Adan, and I'm very sad that he has left us. But I believe Adan's faith and spirit lives on, and he rests now with his mother and other loved ones.

Adan was my counselor at the clinic where he worked. I quickly opened up to him and trusted him. His sincerity, sense of humor, & laughter helped me with my own issues. He was very open which allowed me to do the same. Even though our relationship was on a business level, I feel I got to know Adan & he will be terribly missed by me & my wife. Every time we talked, Christ was in the forefront of the conversation & I trust he is with our Lord & Savior this very moment. He truly made a difference in my life. I pray for his wife & children & offer my deepest condolences. Be strong & call on the Lord . And Thank you Adan for listening and being there when we needed you
