John Bertram Obituary
Fords - John W. Bertram 38, of Fords, entered into eternal rest December 20, 2018. He was born in Edison and lived here most of his life.
John was a clerk at the Speedway convenience store in Edison for the past 8 months.
He was a gentle giant, always helpful, and a man true to his word. He loved to garden and will be missed by all who knew him.
John was predeceased by his father John G. Bertram in 2017. He is survived by his loving mother Donna L. Hussey Bertram of Hamilton, his dear brother Brian G. Bertram of Fords, his loving grandmother Elizabeth Graham of Hamilton, dear aunts Bonita Brinamen and Robin Disch, and cousins Kyle and Megan Disch, and Joy and Daniel Brinamen, and his beloved canine companions Bear and Angel.
Visitation will be on Thursday December 27th from 2 pm to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home 23 Ford Avenue, Fords. A funeral service will be held during the visiting hours. In lieu of flowers contributions are requested to the ASPCA of a local animal shelter.

Dear John, I'm sorry you're not with us anymore I have great sorrow for the loss of you, we never really knew each other but I hate the way you had to leave this world and I can't stop thinking of you and your family. I am so very sorry to hear about this absolute tragedy that has happened. I did not know John but hearing about this saddens and angers me. He was just doing his job, like any of us, and his life was senselessly taken. I grew up in Fords and maybe that's why it caught my attention more, or just the fact that another innocent life has been lost. My heart goes out to John's family and all who knew him. Rest In Peace John

John you are a great Worker, storyteller, a friend, an advocate to the word Loyal. You truly are a hero, I really would like to listen to another true story by you, keeps me entertained and intrigued. Losing you truly became one of my darkest days. It is a very sad day for all of us who had the privilege of knowing John. The John I knew had the rare quality of making everyone he met feel special, not only taking time to hear what they had to say-but taking his time to truly listen and share his time with you. My heart breaks for Johns family. I dont know him personally but he has touched my heart and his name will be remembered. Such a senseless tragic loss for those left behind. Hoping he is in a much better place without all of this pain and suffering and reunited with loved ones. God bless all of Johns family and give you comfort and peace. We suffer. John is at rest.
