Marie DeTullio Obituary
AGE: 98 • Howell
Marie DeTullio, 98, of Howell passed away surrounded by her loved ones at Monmouth Crossing, Freehold Township on Tuesday, March 1, 2016. Marie was born in West New York, and had lived in the same house in Cliffside Park for 73 years before settling in Surrey Downs, Howell in 1995. She was a parishioner of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, and a former parishioner of The Church of the Epiphany, Cliffside Park. Marie was also active at the Howell Senior Center, as well as the American Legion and Republican Party of Cliffside Park, and in Surrey Downs. She loved trips to Atlantic City and was an avid reader. Marie was an adoring wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who loved to cook and care for her family.
Marie was predeceased by one brother, Santo Arena and one sister, Josephine Arena. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Andrea DeTullio; three sons, John DeTullio, MD and his wife, Jane of Clarksburg, Andrew DeTullio and his wife, Kathy of Watchung, and Joseph DeTullio and his wife, Beth of Mount Pleasant, SC; five grandchildren, Michael DeTullio and Kristin Stine of Oakhurst, Alix DeTullio, APN and her husband, Matt Rosenbloom of Oceanport, Mark DeTullio of Watchung, Kyle DeTullio of Manhattan, and Keri DeTullio of Arlington, VA; and one great grandson, Gennaro DeTullio.
Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Thursday, March 3, 2016 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at 8:00 AM on Friday, March 4, 2016 at the funeral home for the procession to her 9:00 AM Funeral Mass at St. Catherine of Siena Chapel, One North Main Street, Farmingdale. Entombment will follow in Madonna Cemetery and Mausoleum, 2070 Hoefleys Lane, Fort Lee. For those who desire, donations in Marie's memory may be made to the Howell Senior Center, 251 Preventorium Road, Howell, NJ 07731.
