Gail Laura Obituary

Gail Jean Laura

AGE: 60 • Manchester

Gail Jean Laura, 60, of Manchester, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 23, 2014, at the Haymarket Medical Center in Haymarket, VA. She died of a short but courageous battle with lung cancer. Born in the Bronx, NYC, the family moved to Middletown, NJ, in 1964. It was there that Gail met many of her lifelong friends. Gail also lived and spent much time living in NYC before moving back to NJ 15 years ago to be closer to her mother and the rest of her family. Gail spent much of her working career working for various law firms as a Paralegal Administrator and retired 5 years ago. After graduating from Middletown H.S., she enlisted in the U.S. Air Force. She loved the beach, traveling, fishing and especially vacationing at her beloved Puerto Rico. She had a smile and an electric personality that lit up any room she entered and had many, many friends all over the world. She was an adoring Aunt to all of her nieces and her nephew and they were her pride and joy and she did everything possible to be there for all of them.

Gail is predeceased by her father, Gabriel Laura. Surviving are her mother, Lorraine Eovino of Tinton Falls; her son, Jason Joslin, and daughter-in-law, Christine; her grandchildren, Lucas and Ella of Middletown; her son, Justin Coale and daughter-in-law, Emma of Souderton, PA; and her son, Ryan Coale of Souderton, PA. She is also survived by her brother, Ron Laura, and her sister-in-law, Yoko of Toms River, and her nieces, Maria Aviles, Yukiko Aviles, Namiko Laura and Aria Laura; her brother, Gary Laura, and sister-in-law, Judy and her nephew, Julian Laura, of Red Bank; her brother, Mark Laura and her nieces, Olivia Laura and Marlo Laura, of Atlantic Highlands, and her significant other of 10 years, Arthur McCrae of Barnegat, Arthur McCrae Jr. and Christine McCrae.

Gail touched the lives of many and also considered her friends as her extended family and often stated how blessed she was to have had so many of them in her life!

Visiting hours are from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 28 at the Thompson Memorial Home, 310 Broad St., Red Bank. A funeral Mass will be offered at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 29 at St. Anthony of Padua Church Roman Catholic Church, 121 Bridge Ave., Red Bank.
