Jean Cleary Obituary

Jean Bjornsund Cleary

Aurora, CO - The New York Rangers lost their biggest fan on April 10, 2018. Jeannie was born in Brooklyn, New York on January 30, 1954 to her loving parents Harold and Henny Bjornsund who have predeceased her. Jeannie lived the majority of her life in Middletown, NJ before moving to the Denver, Colorado area in 2014. She graduated Middletown High School in 1972 and recently attended her 45th High School Reunion. Being able to attend her reunion was very important to Jeannie and she was overjoyed that she was able to spend some time with her high school buddies. Jeannie loved to play bridge and would travel extensively to meet up with her bridge partners, many who became lifelong friends. Jeannie was passionate about life and was always available to lend a helping hand or supportive ear to those in need. She loved people and this is evident by the overwhelming number of friends she had made throughout her wonderful life. She will be missed by all who knew her. The only thing that Jeannie loved more than life itself would be her friends and family.

She leaves behind five loving children, Thomas, Daniel, Kevin, Sara and Keith Cleary. She is also survived by four siblings and their spouses, Dianne and William Wagner, Craig and Lori Bjornsund, Lorraine and David Best, and William and Tricia Bjornsund. Jeannie was a wonderful Aunt! She will be greeted at the gates of heaven with open arms and a big hug by her beautiful niece Lisa Bjornsund, who left us on April 23, 2016. She leaves behind many nieces and nephews: Kristine and Dana Venneman, Brian and Michelle Wagner, Amanda and Jon Ferguson, Randy and Rebecca Best, Elizabeth and Alon Groshar , and Kayci and Ty Bjornsund. She also leaves behind 8 great nieces and nephews Christian, Kevin, Erik, Ava, Autumn, Cooper, Christina and Ethan.

Viewing will be at Pfleger Funeral Home on Tindall Road in Middletown NJ on Monday, April 16 from 2-4 and 7-9. Funeral Service will be held at King of Kings Lutheran Church on Tuesday, April 17 at 10 AM. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Oak Hill Road, Middletown NJ. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the American Cancer Society via her nephew Kevin's Relay For Life page http://go.relay.org/8tfhf, The Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation www.themmrf.org, or your favorite charity. To Jeannie's family and friends, it is so very sad that you had to lose such a sweet, beautiful soul in this life but you will see that radiant smile again, one day. I am sad that Jeannie is gone from this life but happy that she is no longer in pain and in Heaven where she belongs. Rest in the comfort of God's arms and we will all meet again.
