Gerry, you have been my hero for so long. I am devastated at your passing. I was lucky enough to meet you when you toured Australia, and also when I was in Great Yarmouth, visiting my parents. You’ll never Walk Alone, and Ferry, will be forever engrained in my heart. RIP, and continue making your wonderful music in heaven, along with all the other great musicians there ❤❤ Love from Australia

I was just a teenager when I heard Gerry's music. I was enchanted immediately. The song 'I Like it' was one of the first I heard on the Pop Radio Station in Auckland, NZ in those early 60's. Then when I heard Gerry again in NZ on the North Shore, when my daughter was with me, I heard those times again. Since his passing, I have been playing his CD that my daughter gave me when I was 65, with all those fabulous songs of the 60s. His voice, tenacity, love of being a 'caring' and 'real' person have endeared me and in the past two weeks the songs of 'You'll Never Walk Alone', 'Don't let the Sun Catch your Crying', 'I Like it' and 'Girl on a Swing' have been my constant companions. Still gone too soon, such a talented, humble and caring man. His legendary contribution to music and sports will never be forgotten. Blessings to his family from Auckland, New Zealand.

Being a Celtic supporter our club also adopted his iconic song ‘ you’ll never walk alone’. I fill up every time I hear it. I met Gerry once years ago when he had just played a club in Edinburgh. His positive outlook was evident in his songs, and his words were uplifting, all wrapped in a garb of youthful laughter, wittiness, and charm. A wonderful human being!! His music impacted my 15 year old life at a difficult time, and Ferry Cross the Mersey is one of my Life Songs. God bless Pauline and remaining family, always!

When I was a teenager, of course everyone jumped to the Beatles. I jumped to Gerry & the Pacemakers. I thought they were Great. Even 30 years later, I tried singing, (no luck) then playing the LP "Don't let the Sun Catch You Crying" to my daughter after her first break-up. She still remembers as do I. May you Rest in Peace, Gerry, and stay on the Ferry.

Gerry and the Pacemakers were part of the musical thrill that was the British Invasion in the 60's. One of the many groups we listened to in high school and on the radio at the time. I will continue playing this music on You Tube and have Gerry in my vast record album collection. Playing 60's music makes me feel young again and keeps the memories alive from a happier time. God Bless you Gerry and thank you for the fantastic music you produced. It was a special time back then.

Gerry and the Pacemakers were one of the best British Invasion bands in history. I loved listening to Gerry sing. He had such a soothing voice and made me happy listening to him. His songs were decent and heartfelt and I always looked forward to hearing him on the radio or watching him and his band on the television. I know that a lot of us teenagers in the 1960's loved him and his band. He definitely made a wonderful contribution to our music back then when songs were able to be understood and you could sing along . Thank you for letting him be a part of my life when I was a teenager. We had the best music ever back then and the British Invasion made it great. I am praying that God will comfort you all. We loved Gerry.

One time that my wife and I were in Liverpool, we were near the Mersey River, but I did not go over to actual look at it. I wish I had and hummed, "Ferry Cross the Mersey" to myself. Or maybe sang it out loud. So much wonderful music for which we should be grateful. It's Gonna Be Alright. Always.
