Linda Benedict Obituary
Lakewood - Linda Benedict of Lakewood, NJ, daughter of Alfred and Wanda Benedict, died of corona virus at age 63 on May 6, 2020. Linda had a wonderful girlhood under the gentle guidance of Our Lady of Victories Roman Catholic Church and the Jersey City Public School System on her kids-friendly block of Grant Avenue.
Linda was stricken with schizophrenia in her late teens, but had a remarkable ability to overcome obstacles and experience the joy in life. She was an active participant in Preferred Behavioral Health of Ocean County, where Linda was well-known for her loving enthusiastic manner and ready smile.
Linda is survived by her brothers Robert and Donald Benedict, her sister Arlene Shenko, and her niece Tara Rodgers who deeply appreciate the dedicated social and health care workers who touched Linda's life for decades.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the O'Brien Funeral Home, Wall Twp.

Such a sweet lady, many could learn a thing or two of overcoming obstacles. I know i did. I wont specify because it ruin our trust in one another in program or groups. She sure was able to smile thru trials. May God Bless her family and dearest friends, i know they'll miss her. May y'all find comfort and remember the joy she brought to all of you.
