Michelle Lattanzio Obituary
AGE: 47 • Asbury Park
Michelle Barsel Lattanzio passed away Thursday, September 22, 2016 at Jersey Shore Medical Center. She was born in Astoria, Queens and raised in both Marlboro and Highlands NJ. Michelle became a lifelong, Monmouth County resident.
Michelle was a compassionate soul, taking in stray animals and nursing them back to health. Her passions in life were gardening and raising butterflies. Michelle would want her family and friends to take the time to remember the little but most important things in life… a walk along the beach, the sun on your face, the change of seasons, and time spent with family and friends.
Michelle is survived by her sisters: Gwen Barsel Abbot and husband, Bruce, Jennifer Mendes Ingenito and husband, JC; brother, T.J. Mendes and wife, Modelyn; stepfather, Thomas Mendes; nieces and nephews: Tyler Abbot, Robert and Peyton Barsel, Alexis and Sklyer Mendes; loving partner, David Abair; uncles and aunts: Thomas and Deloris Abrucsato, Joey and Kathleen Tedesco. She was predeceased by her mother, Angela Mendes; father, Edward Lattanzio; grandmother Carmela Abruscato; uncle, Charles Abruscato and brother, Alex Barsel.
Special thanks are given to the many hospice nurses at Jersey Shore Medical Center for their compassion and care.
The family will be having a memorial service for Michelle along with a Celebration of Life for her loving mother, Angela Mendes on Wednesday, September 28 at The Big Boardwalk Gazebo at Fifth & Ocean Avenues in Bradley Beach at 6:00 pm.
Memorial contributions may be made in Michelle's name to the Monmouth County ASPCA. Monmouthcountyspca.org
