William Ryan Obituary
AGE: 61 • Whitehouse Station
William "Bill" Ryan, MD, age 61 of Whitehouse Station, NJ, died Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at home, surrounded by family and friends.
Bill loved many things: fly fishing, playing music, spending time with his family — especially his granddaughter, being in nature, and making corny jokes. Most of all, he loved being a doctor and loved his patients. He touched so many lives with his kind demeanor, thoughtful intelligence and insight, and never-ending compassion.
Dr. Ryan was a physician at Center For Family Health and Pleasant Run Family Physicians.
Dr. Ryan is survived by his parents, Bill and Peg Ryan, his wife, Annie, daughters, Whitney and Kelsea, son, Jack, his granddaughter, Adelynn, brother, Mike, and sisters, Kathleen Ryan and Theresa Dowsett.
Bill's family is endlessly grateful for the 61 full years they had with him. A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, November 26, 2016 at 10:00 AM at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 2 Whitebridge Road, Pittstown. Friends may meet with the family at 9:00 AM until the time of the mass.
It was most important to Bill to celebrate his life with family and friends. We request everyone join us at a celebratory lunch following the mass at Kirsten's Italian Grill, 1386 US-22 in Lebanon.

I was so shocked to hear of Dr. Ryan's passing today. He was my doctor in Whitehouse Station and I followed him to Pleasant Run. He was one-of-a-kind! What a wonderful, patient, smart and funny man. He has been missed at the practice since he left and will be missed forever by my husband and I. My condolences to Annie and his family. He was greatly loved and admired.

Annie, I just found out about Dr. Ryan's passing. I can't tell you how sorry I am. I was very fond of him and thought of him as a son. We had a 27 year relationship and I am so grateful because I owe him so much. I hope you are doing well.

I learned today of Dr. Ryan's passing from another of my physicians. I am eternally grateful to have had Dr. Ryan as my family doctor for many years. Dr. Ryan was a fine doctor, a good man, and a compassionate soul. He will be missed. May he rest in peace.

I just found out via internet. I can't believe this. I am shocked. I worked as a LPN for Dr. Ryan from 1995-1999. Dr. Ryan had such a calm and compassionate demeanor and was wonderful to all of his patient's and staff. And carried a great sense of humor. May his family find peace. My prayers to his family, friends, co workers for comfort during this difficult time. RIP Dr. Ryan, you are surely missed.

Our hearts are saddened at the loss of such a talented beautiful spirit. Me and my girlfriend Cyndy played with "Doc" in the band Chrome City. He always had a kind word for everyone. He was so very talented, and could play the keys so beautifully. We will miss his smiles, his enthusiasm and his kind heart. Rest easy my friend.

So long fishing buddy. One of my favourite childhood memories was visiting you guys and going fishing with you and your brother - you were both so nice to me. You were this big teenager who put me on your shoulders as we waded over water. I am sure you are still fishing somewhere. Tips up and tight lines.
