Jimmy was a close childhood friend of mine in Hoboken. We pretty much grew up together, spending afternoons after school playing touch-football, or finding other ways to get into and out of mischief. We had plenty of company and a rich mix of personalities to interact with. Jimmy was the aristocrat, Robert the sophisticate, Matty the Pope, Joe the musician (and practical jokester), Steve the professor and I was the lucky friend of these guys and others we hung around with. Jimmy's parents were tough, proud, kind and expected no less of Jimmy and his friends. We valued our honesty and fairness and were very conscientious. Jimmy was quick with his humor which was sharp and even if you were the target, you didn't mind as it was almost always richly entertaining.
By coincidence, I just learned of Jimmy's passing. I was thinking about him and by chance goggled to see if I could find out anything about him. I am saddened to learn he is gone. I last saw Jimmy when he returned from Vietnam. We spent hours talking over a shared bottle of Scotch. I was still in the Navy then and had many years in front of me traveling and relocating numerous times. We lost touch.
Jimmy and his family had a positive impact on the direction of my own life. I owe them my gratitude and remember them fondly.
My prayers go to Jimmy, his wife and children. He was a person worth knowing.

Was saddened to hear of jims passing and not knowing about it. My thoughts go out to his family. He was a good neighbor and was always offered to help me out with stuff at the house when noone was around. He did great job keeping up his yard and gardening. Will miss seeing him and getting the scoop on my tenants..) RIP JIM.
your neighbor of 16 years NANCY....
