John Babish Obituary
AGE: 90 • Colonia
John Babish passed away peacefully on Thursday August 17, 2017 at Lyons VA Hospital, Bernards. He was born and resided in Elizabeth before moving to Colonia in 1956. He proudly served our country in the merchant marines during World War ll. He was a machinist for Thomas and Betts in Elizabeth for 42 years retiring 28 years ago. John was a member of the Evangel Church, Scotch Plains.
He was predeceased by his parents, Michael and Anna Babish, his daughter Kathy Sarbone, his brother Michael Babish, and his sister Mary Sadowski. Surviving are his wife of 63 years Irene Babish, his children Diane Hebert, Karen Haas, Bonnie Pearson, Joan Frascino, brother Stephen Babish, sister Helen Seelig, his grandchildren Edward, Christopher, Alicia, Jason, Sheryl, Jessica, Sarah, Kelly, Lisa, Joseph, Anthony, Nicholas, Michael, Jennifer also 9 great grandchildren
Visitation will be Sunday August 20, from 2:00PM to 5:00PM at the Gosselin Funeral Home, 660 New Dover Road, Edison. Funeral Services Monday August 21 at 10:00 AM at the Vanderhooven Chapel @ Hazel Wood Cemetery, Clark.
