Dr. Joseph "Joe" Falkowski, age 75, passed away on Wednesday, January 10th, surrounded by his family in Debary, FL. Joe was born to Stephen and Lillian Falkowski on August 29, 1942 in Elizabeth, NJ. He grew up with his brother, Stephen, and attended St. Adalbert School and St. Mary's High School in Elizabeth, NJ. He later moved and graduated from Toms River High School, Toms River, NJ. Upon graduation, he attended Monmouth College and earned his medical degree from the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine. Joseph married Felicia V. Salvest, Esq. on July 3, 1971 and the couple had 2 children. Joe was a partner at Cedarbridge Medical Group from 1972 until his retirement in 2014. Joe was also a Police Surgeon for Brick Township in the 80's and frequently made house calls for the sick and elderly in his community. Joe was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed camping, fishing, hiking and hunting. He had a great sense of humor and was known for putting smiles on the faces of friends and family. His most treasured moments were times spent with his grandchildren. Joe is survived by his wife, Felicia; daughter and son-in-law, Caroline and Dominick Coppola; son and daughter-in-law, Peter and Tracy Falkowski; his brother, Stephen and family; and five grandchildren: Emily, Gabriella, Nicholas, Joanna and Giana.
At Joe's request, no services will be held. Condolences are appreciated and may be sent to 414 Sycamore Springs St., Debary, FL 32713. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Monmouth University, NJ.

A favorite memory of Joe was when he pointed out the lungs in the lobster I was eating during an evening out with him and Felicia and my husband Joe. God bless.

I can remember many great dinners with Joe and Felicia. Joe use to leave the catch of the day, fish or fowl, at our house.

Joe and Felicia were wonderful friends who were always eager to share their life's adventures and their children's accomplishments. Joe love of hunting and fishing always included dinners that involved his catch of the day, fish and or fowl. Joe was a kind, caring and compassionate person who made house calls without even being expected to. When he found out that our youngest daughter had gotten accepted into medical school he rushed to our home to deliver an extra doctor's black bag he had sitting around. Just in case she needed it. He alwaYs put others ahead of his own needs. We have truly lost an angel on earth. May the wonderful memories you have with him, give you strength in this most difficult time.
